Those were golden days of our life. Getting up in the
morning listening to the sweet voice of our mother and getting ready for the
school was routine. Though everyday wearing the school uniform was boring,
waiting for that one day where we can wear our colored dresses was exciting. Teacher
was the favorite person and getting appreciation from her was the motto of the
day. The girl who sits next to us was our best friend. Telephone was the only
way to connect with your best friends after coming to home and asking homework
and bitching about the girl we hate was only topic. Yes..It was our schooldays. We used to struggle just to complete our
Homework. Annual exams were the toughest part for those days. Summer holidays
were most awaited moment.
Then we entered the next level of life. We entered teenage.
We were high school kids. Completing homework was not only the task. Other
talents started developing. Visiting market holding mom’s hand is changed to
roaming the market on Bicycle. Shopkeepers became new friends. As a 90’s kids mobile phones attracted us.
The one who had 1100 was the Hero.
Classroom crushes developed.
Searching for him/her and trying to impress him became new habit. Though
class 10th exam was scary, High school days were most enjoyed. It
has written in Bold and underlined in the book of our life’s journey.
Wow, now we entered the college.” I am a college student
“ got
imbibed in head. For me, staying out from home was new experience.
Adulthood started occupying us. We were no more kids. Responsibility also got
in to us along with the physical changes. We started spending more time with
friends and enjoying the Independent life.
Since it was the more critical life, concentrated more on studies. As
soon as we entered professional course (Engineering in my case) enjoying the
life to its best became the final aim. However getting the job was more
important. We hardly used to go to college. Bunking the class became more
common. Cinema theatres became new hangout place. Lecturers became Comic
characters. But asking parents for money was the only difficult thing. Life was
at its best. Golden days of our life were glowing.
Now all those best days are over. We are adults, responsible
citizens. Getting the salary, waiting for the hikes has become our aim.
Satisfying the manager is the biggest task. Life has turned so much from
‘summer holidays’ to ‘planned leaves’,‘ Best buddies’ to ‘Foreign clients’,
Cinema theaters to conference rooms. We all have grown as the time passed. But
still there is a kid alive in us, who still wants to watch Tom and Jerry, still
wants to have the road side candy, still wants to make fun and laugh loud. I
want all of you to wake up that kid in you. Let the kid in us always alive and
keep everyone happy .
